Ride-Share Serice

If you're flying into PSP or ONT and want to make sure you end up in Joshua Tree at the right time and in the right place, we can help. Cost is shared among those choosing to ride.

Can I share a room?

We don’t recommend sharing a room unless you are used to sharing with this person. Sharing a room works best if it’s two adults (good friends, sisters, Mom and grandmother) with one child. It can also work with two children who are siblings. However, two Moms sharing a room with two babies or toddlers on different schedules can be stressful, even if you are really close friends. Some rooms work better for sharing so do ask which ones we'd recommend.

What if my child's a picky eater?

We will ask you before arriving what your specific dietary needs and likes are. We do recommend bringing an 'emergency packet' or two of food your baby likes because sometimes children like to eat what they're used to. We have emergency pasta as a back-up. You know your child best so help us by letting us know what your child needs for a successful weekend.

What does a sample day look like?

Wake up time is individual. You can use your house kitchen to prepare your warm morning beverage (we suggest herbal tea or lemon water) and choose from the options of breakfast for you and your child. Depending on the weather and activities, times can of course change. This is one example of a how a day might be: 09:00 Childcare Providers arrive at the main house and Mamas from come together. The children spend the morning with the caregivers outside in the play area or a play space inside. Babies are kept in a special soft-play area. There is a quiet sleeping area inside for babies. The children have specially designed programs with a range of activities including circle time, painting, crafts, playing, dressing up and dance. The children have a light, healthy snack of fruit, nuts and crackers around 10:30. 09:15 - 10:15 Yoga class on the outside patio at House #2. 10.15 - 12:00 Free Mama time for massages, facials, reading, resting, showering, guided circle time, chatting with others and just 'being'. 12:00 - 13:00 Moms pick up kids at main house and eat lunch. 13:00 - 18:00 Free time for Mama and Child bonding, national park excursions, relaxing, walking, and village visits. We provide a light mid-afternoon superfood snack to take with you. 18:15 Dinner (that can be saved for those who are still out venturing). 19:30-21:00 Bedtime for babes and wind-down time for Moms. Evening dance party or hanging out around a fire. We can organize extra babysitters for those who want to go to our local saloon for a Mom's Night Out. Downtown is a 5 minute drive away with a great atmosphere.

How should I plan to arrive and depart?

The retreat kicks off with a welcome dinner and orientation around 6 pm. Feel free to check-in as early as 430 pm. Our time together wraps up late morning on Sunday, around 1030 am after a closing circle. We recommend securing travel that allows you to be present for all activities so we can keep the group in connection from start to finish. If you are flying, we reccommend you allot 1.5-2 hours at the airport before your departure time. If you would like to get the most out of your flights and enjoy more days in Joshua Tree, go for it! We offer the rideshare service on our set start and end dates, but there are Uber-Lyfts available. A taxi from Palm Springs airport to Joshua Tree costs around $60US.

What will the weather be like?

The average temperatures in Joshua Tree in May and October are around 77-86 degrees Fahrenheit which is perfect for yoga and perfect for babes. There is an average of 13 hours of sunshine per day. Nights can be cooler so bring sweaters, wraps and a warm pajama or sleeping bag if you have a baby. The rooms in the houses stay nice and cool in the day but can be fresh at night. Bring some socks or slippers/flip flops for walking around inside

What optional add-ons are available?

Meals, lodging and activites are included in the package price for you and one child. Additional services include *a Ride Share Service to/from airport ($50-$150 depending on number of riders and airport) *Option to bring friend/mother/helper to share a room, savor three meals per full day, enjoy a treatment and join the Mom circle ($350) *Option to bring a second Child ($150) *Additional Treatment/Consult (Varies) *One-on-One Care for Babe daily for 2-3 hours ($150) *On-Call Caregivers if you need extra Mom time during the afternoon and evenings ($15 per hour)

How old should my baby be?

All babies and children are welcome. You can bring your baby-to-be, newborn or six year-old. Most Mamas come with kids aged from about 6 months to 4 years. For many children under 1 years old, a personal caregiver is important for their safety and enjoyment. There is an additional charge of $15 per hour charge for a personal caregiver for your child during the morning session.
