My first birth experience was medically "high-risk" and unmedicated in a hospital.
For my soul.... motherhood transformed me.
My plan was to stay calm- to trust my baby and my body. I had read every pregnancy book, practiced yoga daily, and hired a doula.
I pumped myself full of positive birth stories.
After patiently waiting past 42 weeks for our little man, enduring pressure from our care providers and family, I finally let go (full story here).
No one can teach you how to surrender when you are more than capable, yourself.
Baby will no doubt emerge but yoga impacts the quality and depth of your experience.
So I created a virtual prenatal yoga studio and Joshua Tree PYTT retreat to connect mamas, yoginis, and birth workers to each other and the wisdom within.
